First off let me say that Friday My dad passed away. I made all the arrangements ect. So Not being cheap but $ are $. And I just spent some. So a suit is the last thing on my list. So I want – need to be able to look nice But *Reasonable Cost* is also an issue. As My son will need one as well
Before now did not have use for one.
Keep in mind that My last suit was ruined in Katrina and had had no need for one since.
So Reason for wanting Inexpensive but nice looking. After this it will sit for probably quite some time before use again.
No I am not looking for a hand out or any way shape or form help to buy or get one!
Just some suggestions of places that could accommodate My needs. Like is there a place like the store that used to be on Williams Bld. back in the day, {Barry;s Manufacturing} that sold reasonable {cheaper} priced and would do a minor Fitting Due to my size.
I Know the major thing is even a cheap off the rack I will need it fitted.
As I have lost some weight size after a fight with Cancer.
I am 5'4* tall and 118-120 pounds with like a 26-27* waist So that may have some bearing on chosie
    Thanks in advance

You can try goodwill for something and get that tailored.

Next, for a little more money you can try TJ Maxx/ Marshalls. Inspect for major flaws and if it isn't too much wrong you can get most fixed at the tailor too.

Finally for more money, I can't remember the name of the place but it is on Vet's next to the Kmart by Causeway. There is a store where you can get a good deal on a new suit too.

Last year I needed a suit but I had a little money saved up so I went to Macy's on Black Friday. Everybody is fighting over Flatscreen TVs that they can get on craigslist but I went right for the suits and was the first of a few in the small line. Got a nice name brand suit, new leather belt, two nice shirts, and two ties for about $550 where that suit cost that alone normally.

For colors, I got a medium grey because it is the most versatile. Dinners, funerals, interviews etc. More casual callings I wear brown belt and shoes.

    K&G Men's Wear near Clearview.
Walmart has the George Line which is fairly inexpensive.

Target has a brand (jacket and pants) for under $100

What size/age is your son? I have 3 boys. Maybe I can help. Let me know.

Sorry about your dad :( Prayers sent your way.

I thought so as well, when my oldest son had a dance to go to.....

$219 with shirt, shoes, tie, belt, slacks and jacket.

Bought him a suit for $199 from K&G

    I stand corrected.

I get a lot from Macy's with the 20% off and you can but separates to get the specific size for you. That way you may not have to tailor it. I like them. Alfani and Kenneth Cole can usually be had for less than 200 bucks

    Sorry for your loss.

Check the Goodwill on Vets. I went there looking for a cheap 80's sport coat for a costume event... I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of suits and sport coats. Not the latest styles certainly, but decent. The coat I found was $12 plus another $15 for dry cleaning. Check there before spending real money if you're not going to wear it regularly.
