Not gonna loe, I really thought the XDs 45 would be a lot worse than it is. For a small frame 45, it's relatively tame.

I shot a friend's G43 last weekend and it was very snappy.

Just got a 45 shield in...the texture on the grip is pretty aggressive. It may rub a bit if carried.

Imagine grip texture similar to the Taurus pt111 G2 series but a larger surface area.

It wasnt god awful...but I can see some people bitching about it.

Mine got here yesterday, fits the XDS holster with some heat and remolding around the trigger guard.

I love mine. its my CCW most of the time, sometimes I swap it off for the 9mm Shield Performance Center when I need something a little less bulky. shoots well, I can hit with it, and it didnt break the bank. What's not to like?!

I've been happy with my 9mm I group fairly tight with it. My brother-in-law has been there for us pretty hardcore this past year and he likes 45acp. And happens to like the shield.
