I saw this in the paper over the weekend, my nephew is one of these guys so I figured I'd post about it:

The Slidell Police Department’s Marksmen Team has only been competing since May, but their excellent aim and skill has earned them plaques, trophies and accolades from the competitive shooting community.

Officer Nick Knight said he got hooked on competitive shooting after being at a contest. He and Officer Danny Milan approached Police Chief Randy Smith earlier this year and proposed that the department form its own shooting team.

Congrats to these hard working officers. Keep up the good work!
