The AR tools are nice, but I don't think I will ever need a C4 punch and det cord cutter.

Sadly, my scruples don't run that deep. I just always wanted a lightsabre, I guess.

I don't often boycott things, but their attitude and statement was so... stupid... considering their base of customers I swore them off.

Didn't know this I guess they have just lost business....

To be honest I never did like any leatherman tools, I've always stuck with Gerber.

yea, I've actually been a gerber fan for years... I'm in the market for a new multi tool, I was leaning gerber... this just solidified it.

Everything Gerber is manufactured in China. Not particularly bad or good, just so you know. Benchmade, CRKT, Kershaw and some others are made here.

I've got a gerber multi tool and a big game cleaning kit... both made in the usa. However, they are several years old so things may have changed. I've noticed that some of Buck's more quality knives are made in USA, while others are made in China. Gerber might be the same way?

Anyway if you really want to stay true to the USA... get Randall!

Could be, though I have not seen anything in 2-3 years that I have been collecting and shopping made by Gerber that was made in the US. I've read that as of 2008 only the LTS was made in Portland. Pete Gerber is deceased.
