I haven’t given them a dime in over a decade.
Me either. It is time to clean house of those that have been raping the membership for so many years!
Yes, you have that correct!Same here. They don't care about 2Nd amendment any longer only about raising as much $$$ as possible. They actually prefer a D in power because it is better for fund raising.
I went to undergrad with Chris Cox who was pushed out when LaPierre returned. Looks like some dirty deeds done by the NRA over the years, time to clean it up.
Got a call yesterday from some NRA babe wanting money to join up.
Put the phone down on the bed..Walked off......
The NRA's Gang of Four is being sued as well: Vice President Wayne LaPierre, General Counsel and Secretary John Frazer, former Chief Financial Officer Wilson "Woody" Phillips and former Chief of Staff and Executive Director of General Operations Josh Powell.
In a separate lawsuit, the NRA Foundation is also being sued by the Washington DC attorney general, and I believe there's a Congressional investigation underway.
I was an NRA member since 1978, but quit when Ollie North got sacked for confronting LaPierre. Sadly, I believe the NRA is so corrupt now that shutting it down is best. Then it can be restarted with new leadership and rechartered as a nonprofit in a more gun-friendly state.

If you’re interested this is a read of things all put in one spot detailing the sins committed by Lapierre. It’s quite lengthy.

Holy squandering Batman. NRA has sent me three letters recently and a company called on behalf of the NRA seeking donations. My membership expires December this year. I am not renewing.

I’ve voiced my opinion to those who call wanting money I’m embarrassed to consider that I agree more with the NRA than the Democrats. I only hesitate at letting the wolves devour them because it’s not the NRA that the Democrats are after it’s us. It’s like when the libs go after a dirtbag who’s a republican, it’s not the fact he’s a dirtbag or a republican. It’s because he ain’t a wacko Democrat.
I doubt very seriously I will ever give the NRA another dime, but this business makes me uncomfortable at best.
Yep. I feel the same way....The NRA is supposed to be made up of members- but the LaPierre regime threw a greedy wrench into the middle of that a long time ago. I'm still a member- but I won't give them any additional money until he gets the axe.
Having said that, they need to end their association with the State of NY immediately. The climate in VA isn't much better these days, either. Relocate.
We need the NRA in the form that it has been in the past. If the left didn't still see the NRA as it's biggest obstacle standing in the way of their anti-gun agenda, it wouldn't bother going through so much effort to take them out.
