Nikon P223 3x

Anyone here have direct experience with Nikon's P223 3x scope on their AR? I bought one on Gunbroker at a good price, after reading several good reviews online. But I was hoping to see if any local shooters have personal experience with the scope and your honest opinions about it. Thanks.

Saw one at Walmart for $149. Nikon makes great optics.
As for that particular scope, the BDC dial is preset for a certain weight bullet, but, when you get it mounted and zero'd and decide which load is best for your rifle, you may want to pay close attention to where your gun shoots at the ranges on the dial and make a mental note. Most of those scopes are based on 55gr bullet from a 16" barrel and they usually work well, but the real tell is to shoot at those ranges and see what your gun does so you'll know where to expect the dial to truly indicate the impact point.

BTW, the one I bought on Gunbroker was $126.00 + $11.00 shipping. That's why I jumped on it. Looked like a good price on a decent scope.

I had one on my AR for a while. I liked it but decided to go with a red dot.

I have one on my ar and love it. Just get the specifications from the ammo manufacture use their charts for drop and you are good to go.

You can go the the Nikon site, put your load/bullet data in and get the drops printed out for your scope.

bought my brother in law a 3-9 P223, but haven't got it mounted yet. It feels like a great piece and the glass is super clear.
