    Got home today and someone left me a folded loose leaf paper note in the mail. I opened it up to find five lines of text:

    Lousiana Public Service Commission
    504-810-6695
    ---> Samantha Goodwin

    If you have any questions, feel free to call
    John Bennett - 559-301-1954

    I have no intention of calling, nor do I care what anyone who leaves me a high school secret note in my mail box. Weird thing is, it has two names, two phone numbers, but doesn't say who it's from or what it's for. It's like sending a text message that says "Call Me."

    Have any of you guys gotten anything like this before?

    I wouldn't bother calling it. The 504 number is sent to an AT&T mobile customer who is currently located in eastern Metaire. The 559 number is a Verizon mobile customer (from CA) who also seems to be located in the New Orleans area.

    I just called John at 559-301-1954 via Skype. It's evolving Charter Internet service. It appears someone is just trying to sell you internet service.

    That's an even bigger fail, since our subdivision doesn't have cable routed. It's either Satellite/DSL or nothing.

    If it didn't have a stamp on it, they committed a federal crime. :D

    You should have seen the federal crimes when I lived in Baton Rouge. Someone left me a McDonald's cup once.

    Salesman sometimes make the mistake of trying to sell a service that is not available to an area. John(the man who left the note) seemed timid and apologized for any confusion caused. I think he was afraid that you suspected some type of scam. I did not give him a name. I just asked him why a note was left on "my door."

    I had a similar experience this week. I had a note in my mailbox that I thought said.

    "We are coming to get you, IRS"

    I started to panic and totally freak out. Then I reread it and it wasn't as bad as I thought. It actually said

    "We are coming to get you, ISIS"
