NRA revived?

I am hearing that new leadership at the NRA is instituting procedures for transparency and using outside auditors to get things back on track. The king has been finally dethroned and maybe we can get back to the business of protecting 2A and firearms safety and education.

I got a mailing from them that had my name and address at the top of the page so it could be seen through the window of the envelope. Just below the fold the message started "Dear Doug:"

Who TF is Doug??? They gotta' do better than this!!!

I'm more concerned that they use our money on 2A issues vs extravagant trips, parties, clothing etc. than a screw up in a mailing. I still think that they are finally back on the right track.

I'm hoping the funding they have gets used more wisely from this point on, but I still have concerns about them adopting a more aggressive stance to anti-2A legislation and statutory creep. Their laissez faire attitude has almost made them irrelevant in my opinion. Can they regain relevancy? We'll see.

My dad gifted me a lifetime membership back in the 90’s when that crazy8itch (Janet Reno) ran the ATF and all sorts of crazy ish was afoot.
I think things should improve if they’ve canned Jean Pierre.

Yeah, that sounds like United Way. A charity that uses 90% of donations to make great paying jobs for their people.
