Did anyone notice the presidents recent tactic for pushing through a health care bill? He's slamming insurance companies for "rationing" health care, and not covering pre-existing conditions in the name of profits. All well and good, but I take it he believes the government is better suited to taking on that task. In other words. don't trust the insurance companies, trust the government to do that instead! Sorry, I'm still not buying that one!!!

I just read an article earlier that pointed out something about the current bill in Congress. We're missing the boat on this one. The bill says anyone NOT covered would be subject to a penalty of 2.5% of their salary, but ALSO says insurance companies can't deny coverage for pre-existing conditions. I don't know about everyone else, but my insurance runs about 7% of my paycheck. I could just cancel my insurance coverage and wait 'til I get sick. Then get insurance and go to the doctor. It would save me a lot of money.

Where did you read this? Do you mean the gov't would force insurance cos. to pay for the wreck?
