optics for 3gun shotgun

Ive watched over 100 youtube videos on 3gun matches. What is the opinion of shotgun optics here? I like the red dot set up but is it really a need? Im balling on a budget and trying to put money where it is needed before I buy what is wanted.

None needed. 2012 benelli tactical shotgun match I had the fourth or fifth fastest time on the all slug stage with just a vent rib and fiber bead. An optic just slows you down.

LMAO...no chance of that 3k pistol. Just asking questions. Thanks for the help. Im pretty darn good at shooting skeet. Ive never had any optics on a shotty. Maybe I need to stay off youtube. Im gonna use my 870. Im not looking for fastest times. Just trying to put it all togather to have fun and shoot the entire match.

I'm no 3 gun wiz either … but having a nice semi-auto shotgun will make the sport more interesting.

Yes semi would be great. My 1400 only holds 3 rounds. My 870 holds 10. Maybe after I get a feel for the sport I'll spend the money for a good semi. For right now I'll be pumping it

thas the plan. I couldnt bieleive hw helpful everone was . Even when I got DQ'd it was friendly advice. Max explained it and I agreed. I screwed up. But now im hooked.
