    Hello GSSF Shooters.
I have been talking to a lot of GSSF Shooters and they are very excited that Outdoor GSSF Matches are coming back to South Louisiana and are looking forward to our match in November.
I have been talking with a couple local ranges and they are willing to put up the GSSF Posters advertising this Match.
Big Thanks to the Gun Ranges and Gun Shops that have put up our posters and / or post on there Facebook page so far.
    FRC Range
Bayou Dragon Guns & Indoor Shooting Ranges
    Sentry Defense
    Louisiana Gun & Reloading Supply

I will be going to to a few other gun shops this coming weekend and helpfully get some more posters posted up and/or posted to there Facebook page.

The biggest question I have been getting is, How does the GSSF Match work?
You can preregister on gssf.pro or you can register they day of. You can register for multilabel divisions.
Each gun registered will be $30 per division.
Once you arrive to the range, the check in / registration area will be to the right of the road leading onto the the range.
Once you have gotten your score sheet stickers you can park in the large parking area in the front of the range.
The Shooting Bays will be around back of the front 25yd & 50yd rifle / pistol bays that are up front.
Once you walk around to the back side of the rifle bay we will have 7 pistol bay where we will have the 3 GSSF stages setup. You will sign in to all 3 stages before shooting (Name, Entry# and Arrival Time.
When you are ready to shoot, You will place and X in the squad column stating you are ready to shoot. You will wait at the stage until you name is called.

You can shoot up to 4 entry in a row.

Also check out What To Expect on gssf.pro.
    https://gssf.pro/outdoor-matches/what-to-expect/
This will also give you a general idea on what to expect at the match.
Here are a couple pics of the check in process and stage design.
This is not set in stone.
    1. I will be talking with the hosting range to possible having vendors out at the range.
    2. Working on a surprise for our shooters. Will post up when I have more info.

Gonna bump this one more time to talk about the match this weekend.

If you attended any of the matches in Gonzales the last few years, in mid January, you know we had rain and cold 3 years, and just plain cold the 4th year. Yuck. My shrimping boots are permanently stained from the mud.

We now at Palo Alto have a dedicated second weekend in November date set again for next year. The weather this weekend was a little chilly in the morning but otherwise beautiful for shooting both days. No rain at all, despite the forecast a week ago. Two great days to be outside and moving around.

If you own a Glock pistol, any Glock pistol, and have ever wanted to try a competition match, this is the match to try. First time shooters are not only welcome, they are given extra help and advice by everyone working the match.

The shooting courses (stages) are simple and easy to understand. There is no moving around. There is no swapping magazines during the shooting. You stand still and shoot from a single fixed position. It is as easy and simple to start as a competitive shooter as there is.

If you want to try this out, please set your calendar to remind you of the upcoming match second weekend in November next year. https://gssf.pro/ will guide you through the process to get registered with Glock (membership required) and register for the match ahead of time.

Replying to this thread will guarantee that someone involved locally will reply and help you with any questions or concerns.

We are glad to have had everyone out that showed up today, and we hope to grow this match in the future.

If all you do is stand in the "phone booth" and shoot your Glock at the range, please give this a try one time. You will be amazed at how much more fun it is to shoot out in the open, at multiple targets, and in a competition setting.

Reply at any time with questions.
