there are a few in Gonzales. Gold-n-Guns on Airline just south of the intersection of Hwy 44, Pelican (the old Gene's) right off Airline on 44, and one more that I can't remember the name of, a little further down 44 on the right when you're headed to the interstate.
if you go to DS to check out BJ, you may as well go across the street to if Pelican has anything interesting.
Yah, most pawnshops will deal a little on the price unless it just came out of hock. Most will at least knock the tax off. BJ's has a great selection but don't expect him to come off the price a penny unless he is having one of his 10% off sales which about equals what the others will take off without a sale.
I bought a Marlin 30-30 from BJ and had nothing but trouble with the gun. The owner had sold it to me and when I took it back he attempted to fix it but to no avail. He gave me my money back no questions asked. +1 for BJs. I will shop there again.
