Anyone have any idea if wadcutter or hollow point better for dove.

Shooting them as they face me in the breast area.

    Gun is 650 fps.

In the past, i have used both, and have never found a pellet in the dove.

I guess they're both going in and out

Assuming wadcutter has more impact, and the hollow point penetrates more.

    Thanks

IMO pellet guns are not enough to hunt dove with, doves are amazingly tough.. I do not recommend it, you will lose more than you find..

Never know on here when someone may be trolling or just trying to be humorous but you do know it is illegal to take mourning doves with a rifle or pistol.

    ^THIS^

According to an Agent I just talked to it’s unlawful to hunt migratory birds with any sort of rifle by way of US Fish & Wildlife Regulations.
