Those littel elctronic pull pic personal alarms work great. Spray paint them to camo, and set trip wire. they are loud as hell and small. Easy to carry four in a pack.

I try to camp well off trails. That way no one can just stumble into my campsite. Dog and a pistol.
Besides, as badly as I snore, anyone would assume there was a bear in the area!

Interesting, but overkill for a campsite. Wouldn't be bad for a country home though.
    They look heavy too!
The fireworks stands used to make a fire cracker that had a string coming out each end. You pulled them and it popped. That would be useful for this. Just be careful not to burn down the woods- they'll make you pay for the damage!

I remember stringing those pull string firecrackers in the hallway with fishing line and almost giving my mom a heart attack when I was a kid!!!

Where do you people camp that is that bad?????
Brings up a good question. Most parks say no firearms allowed, if it is inside your trailer, isnt that your home?
I normally practice the dont ask dont tell but always wondered what the law was.

I would think you'd be ok while its hooked to the tow vehice. Not sure about if you disconnect.

I've had many more problems in state park campgrounds than in the deep woods. State parks seem to be a good place to go get drunk and listen to loud music. Also, I've had clients have things stolen from their campsites before too. Camping gear is not cheap.
