I have a duck lease at 29.745477, -89.668873. The property is leased referred to as Pond 22. We launch from Reggio and the lease is right before Bayou Jean Louis Robin as shown on Google Maps. The property is posted ‘no trespassing’.
We had three pirogues stolen from the lease sometime between 22 Nov and 04 Dec. The pirogues were locked to anchors so we are certain they did not float away. One pirogue was a Chapman, one was another brand with curved seats but has new Chapman plastic rails, and the other was another brand w/ molded fiber-glass rails. Two of the pirogues have hand painted camo stripes and they also have some white marine epoxy on the edges touched up from use. We would recognize the pirogues by their configuration.
We hunted on 21 Nov and there was one crab pot on the lease and several outside of the lease. Today the pirogues are missing and there are no crab pots on the lease.
Any help locating the pirogues would be greatly appreciated. We are also offering a reward of $200 for their return.
