Places for retrieval training in Slidell

check out wild wing kennels. ron novake owns the place its located near robert la. he has a very nice place set up with several water runs and bird throwers along with shooting stations for gun breaking them.

its off of the airport exit on I12 i guess you would consider that robert..

It's been a long time since I've been there. I got my first lab from Ron at WW.. When I was in college he let me have free run of his place for training my dog. In exchange we'd help him out with mucking out kennels, general fix it up stuff. Lots of good memories from my years out there. Couldn't ask for a better place to train retrievers.

yep definatly a nice place. i used to go there a good bit with my parents neighbor when i was in high school. learned to shoot skeet there. used to ride my threewheeler around the place and then sometimes ron let me drive his old willis jeep around. the guy i used to go with everyone out there called "shoot" had a dog named zeek. i haven't been out there in probably 10 years now.

Do they let dogs on that beach? We went there last weekend. Lot of people, but no dogs around that I saw.

There are signs saying no dogs. Off to the left of the pier I didn't see any signs though....

Does anyone know about areas in the Honey Island swamp? Or am I just asking to make my puppy a gator treat?
