The world, as a whole, has gone completely f**king insane.

We need to just keep minding our money and our stocks of supplies while watching, to some degree, all this s**t go on.

Like the late George Carlin said, we have a front row seat to the freak show.

Don't let ourselves get stressed out and bent out of shape. We can talk a little s**t, of course, but don't let it put that unnecessary stress into our bodies. Cool out and observe.

Just curious, is there anyone on here old enough to remember the transition from the 50s to the 60s? Did they think the world was ending then too, from a cultural perspective?

I hear the 60's had more violence, seems true to me. It was more organic back then, the common man representing something reasonable, now it's more often the mentally ill, ignorant, oligarchy, and government causing riots.

I was too young being born in 1964 but mom told me stories of Elvis Presley shaking his hips on TV. She said many thought it was the end of times.

You missed diddy. There’s news he’s got his own client list with video. A lot of his old staff said politicians attended his freak off parties. It’s a matter of time before it gets released, unless poof!!, it disappears and diddy gets epstein’d

I'm near 70 and can tell you there's always been something going on in the USA or world to disrupt " civilization ". REAL epidemics / pandemics , wars , economic depressions, mass migrations, crime, etc.... etc. Educate yourselves and read more history instead of getting distracted by watching sports and reality TV

The difference today is 24hr instant media coverage. There's always been impending gloom and doom, only now it's blasted at you 24hrs a day.

I'm not 70 but my response was going to be something similar so I appreciate your levity and wisdom....every generation seemingly has it's "fight" either literal or social. Every generation on it's way out seems to have a low opinion of the next. 24 hour "connection" and influence from media absolutely shapes our opinion even if we think it doesn't. The human mind isn't designed to consume information with perfect impartiality.
