Anyone have any updates on the flooding at Walker South Road just North of Port Vincent? I pulled my daughter and her boyfriend out of there yesterday and need to return to pull out their cars.

Any updates would be greatly appreciated.

If you get the cars out.......Do not power up the electrical system until any wet modules are pulled out and dried,
    Goodluck with your mission.

We gave it a shot today but couldn't get through. Water past French settlement was too deep and coming up. Will try again on Wednesday.

Friend of mine lives behind the cracker barrel, can't get in touch with him.
Was at stines in Walker today helping haul evacuees/rescues to North park. Lots of citizens going out and helping anyway they can.

There are a LOT of people that have lost everything. This is a sad situation for South Louisiana.

I passed there in Port Vincent for 17 years delivering papers. My friend's place is to the left of that picture behind Popeyes on the river. He has about 30 something travel trailer spots and all kind of nice stuff Or was nice stuf.

Daughter's fiancee is trapped in his camp 1/2 mile up 931 from the roundabout. Water not in the house yet. I rescued my son from Manchac yesterday. They were on the roof with 4' of water in the house. Two cars underwater. My house is dry (off Hoo Shoo Too) but we left early yesterday due to street flooding. Waiting for traffic to ease up to try and get back in.

Will try to go up Wednesday. Will take as many cases of water as I can carry. If anyone needs anything in the Port Vincent area post it here and I'll give it a shot.

My house is about 2 miles up 931 from PV. About a foot in it my house but the road to it is deep under. Waiting on it to receed enough to get home and start stripping it out. Got word this morning it's starting to drop.

A friend with a place on the Amite on Summerfield south is there. He got to within 1.5" but now dropping slow. Said it's down 1.5" from the high. The port Vincent gauge broke so that's the best gauge I have.
