I just got in a 6000 bullet order from http://www.precisiondelta.com/ . I got 4k in .45 and 2k in 9mm. Good looking bullets. I am going to load some up and see how they do.

On a side note, I got three EA lowers in as well. They look pretty nice.

I use to load with the Precision Delta, but later changed to the Precision black bullets. The Deltas are good stuff, but I like the Precisions better, and they're a tad cheaper ($215 for 3000 155gr .40s vs. $294 for 3000 165gr .40s).

How long ago did you put in an order? I've been checking their website, but only see BackOrder. I've just gotten a Dillon setup and am wanting to place a large bulk order and Precision is one that I've been pointed to...

    Thanks

I ordered on 12/9 and got half yesterday and half today. I pulled up today as the mail man was making the delivery. Had to apologize for the heavy lifting. I told him what it was in there. He asked if I was going to be getting these often, joking. They ship out in the flat rate boxes.

I just loaded up some .45 on my 650 and will try them out tomorrow.

did you get the tough coat on those lowers?
how would you rate the fit and finish on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being the highest?

    Thanks,
    J

Finish is great. I saw one spot on the inside of the magwell that was light. Other than that... I don't have a lower kit to put in these yet, but I will report on how everything fits. Not expecting any problems.

I cannot shoot lead in my pistols... let me re-phrase, I CHOOSE not to shoot lead bullets in my pistols.

The Precision Deltas are no doubt good bullets, but they do have an exposed lead base and will cause some barrel leading over time.

Not if you clean the barrel after you shoot it.

    .

The only cleaning my pistol barrels get is a bore snake every now and then. Will Schuman of Schuman barrels advises against cleaning barrels. I've shot thousands of rounds from my pistols and accuracy does not deminish. And yes 4000 Precision Delta 180gr .40 bullets have passed through my STI .40 along with about 15000 Montana Gold 180s and countless GAT 155s and 180gr lead bullets.

I've gotten in the habit of using the Boresnake right after I get through shooting and while the gun is still hot. Of course WHEN I REMEMBER!!!

I still run a bore brush every 3 months if I've shot a lot or if I notice that I start shooting crappy all of a sudden.

I thought for a long time that the BoreSnake was a gimmick, but now I think it's a good discipline to do after shooting outings and eliminates Excuses:)
