First thing's first, and you'll find out why this is important later, the mattress and bed frame are from different rooms of the house.

MATTRESS: The mattress was in my guest room. It's been covered in a padded protector since the day I got it, and has been slept on maybe a dozen times when I had visitors in town from the motherland. Still has the tags on it. Beautyrest Recharge, I paid about $650 for it at Sears before they went bankrupt.
Asking $240, cash or trade.

BED: This is a one-of-a-kind platform built, made for me by local New Orleans craftsman Chris Reed. The angle-iron is reclaimed from Ducati shipping crates from the dealership on Baronne St.
Does not come with headboard, just the platform bed, and I do have the wood slats to put a mattress on it (not pictured). This is one solid piece of steel and is heavy as hell. I can't deliver it, but I can help you load the truck.
Asking $280, cash or trade.
Why is it $280, you ask? Well, here's where the "custom" and, uh, "art" part comes in... If you zoom in on the corners of the bed you'll see four iron tie-down rings that flip out from the frame. This is a family-friendly forum, so I'm not going to explain what they're for.
