My dog, a 7 year old weimaraner, has suddenly(within 1 day) developed a sagging of her skin on her neck (superior to the chest @ about C2 level but ventral) on the right side. There is an area that appears similar to a fluid filled flaccid balloon. It's not too large, about 1.5" to 2" lateral to midline. Doesn't seem to be tender to touch and she is not having respiratory problems (auscultated breath sounds clear bilaterally), no fever (she was febrile about a week ago for x1 day), no loss of appetite and no apparent damage to her teeth. Any ideas?

My ideas: bug bite/sting, swollen lymph node

Sounds like a spider bite to me. My dog had something similar happen to her once. It cleared up in 24-36 hrs. I'd still bring her to your real vet just to make sure everything's ok.
