In November 2006, I ordered an M92 in 7.62x39 pistol from Red Stick/Red Jacket in Baton Rouge. It was to be made from a virgin M92 kit and built on an NoDak Spud NDS-1 receiver, 5th run.

History of the kit: Serbia had new service weapon trials in about 2000-2003 consisting of different configurations. From what I learned, 1000 of each type were planned. 1000 Krinks in each caliber, 1000 underfolders in each caliber, 1000 rifles in each caliber, etc. So 1000, underfolding, M92s were planned with 10-inch barrels and underfolding stocks, technically an SBR here. Some kits were made into testing rifles and some were not, resulting in unused, virgin kits. Virgin kits, sparsely numbered, could be made here as pistols. Notice the unique gas piston.

I had never seen an AK pistol in 2006, and the only other place I could find them was at Atlantic Firearms. Will Hayden of Red Stick / Red Jacket Firearms (yes, I know...) wanted to make an SBR with a welded, fake can, on an underfolder receiver, but I insisted on a pistol. 8 months later I picked up the M92 pistol built on an NDS receiver. The pistol was coated with Cerakote I think. He had test fired it 5 rounds. He gave us 40 rounds to fire in his range, which we did. It ran flawlessly. I don't think I fired it after that. It comes with a custom, hard case and one Yugo 30 round magazine.

Of the virgin kits, I have no idea how many were made into pistols. I have never seen an identical one for sale. NPAPs, OPAPs, and ZPAPs came many years later. This one is rare. Red Jacket installed a sling loop on the back of the receiver. Attached is a correct, Serbian sling. Please ask any questions.

$2500. ID and bill of sale in the New Orleans area. I will consider trades for HKs.
