Picked up a Beretta PX4 Storm Subcompact recently, functions great but has some ugly pitting as seen in attached pic. Was wondering if anyone knew some good methods for prettying it up a bit.

Is that actual physical pitting or just discoloration? I've prettied up several old rusted/discolored guns with, like twinin said, 0000 steel wool and oil.

Sounds like it’s rusting under the finish? I had a PX4 and I’m thinking the finish is similar to cerakote? Maybe for the heck of it, give Beretta USA a call and see what they say. I always default to contacting the manufacturer first for any issue. More times than not, I’ve been super happy I did.
