    Does anyone know what happened?

    From a yahoonews.com story-

The cruiser was off and the windows were closed.

An administrative investigation concluded Harrison violated policy and procedures. He received a two-week unpaid suspension and lost 40 hours of vacation.

Police Chief Terry Grice told The Medina Gazette (http://bit.ly/1scc3Ju) the dog's death was an accident and security camera video showed Harrison panicking after he realized what had happened.

Even though they are "man's best friend"....sometimes man is not their true friend.

A true friend would not forget you in a car with the windows up. All he had to do is to lower all 4 windows about 2 inches. The dog may have overheated...but would not have died IMHO.

I think that would be worse. Would show he knowingly left the dog in there. Regardless, even with windows cracked, cars get HOT.
