    Anyone close around the Ponchy-Covington area have a gas tube roll pin for an AR? I'm going to try Madisonville Hardware in the morning first thing and if they don't have any I guess I'll try a couple of the nearby gunsmiths. I'm trying to get it back together for a shoot Wednesday. TIA.

    This is funny, we were just talking about this, scratch fastinal and home depot and lowes..

    if ya find some in bulk at a fair price let me know..

    I have a 458 that needs one too..

    Thanks for the sizes, Ima hit Lowes and Home Depot in Covington in the am. I will buy quite a few if they have them and will let you know. *Edit* Oh you said they didn't have them. I guess I'll call a coupla smiths in the morning then.

    I've also read 5/64" x 1/8" is the right size. Rockmup? Nevermind Richard got the right size.

    Arms Merchant or FITS in Slidell should definitely have one though.

    If it were me, I'd skip Lowes and Home Depot, and go straight for a mom and pop hardware store. I got a small ziploc bag full of roll pins from the local TrueValue hardware store in my AR parts bag.

    5/64th in dia by 5/16 long

    Hallefreekinlujah!! My Bride went back in the garage this morning and found it. I looked for that thing till almost midnite. I called all the hardware stores around here and no one had anything that small. I tried calling Arms Merchant but they must not open till 9 or so and she had found it before then. I will be ready for tomorrow :rockon:

    I think it's generally a good idea to replace them every time you remove the tube, so I'd still grab a couple at some point. Should be fine for range duty though.
