Rome Revolver??

My grandfather has a Rome Revolver he purchased at Wilsons years ago. Guns came up in the conversation when he was over at a crab boil and he wanted me to get him some 38 special JHP's for it. Well I wanted to research the revolver to make sure it is safe and to see if there are any types of ammo I need to avoid. The problem I have encountered is I cannot find anything on this company. The only info I found were some of the early Rome revovlers were poorly made.

I have not seen the revolver, I plan to make a trip to go look at it this week, but if it is dangerous I want to be prepered with info to let my grandfather know that is not a safe pistol to shoot.

from what I read some were made in Fl. and were a good paper wieght
and some made in Germany and from what I read were good guns or at leat better the the Fl pocket gun
