Ruger American Bolt Action 22LR

Picked up a Ruger American 22LR yesterday. Neat little rifle. I've read some good write ups on it. Hopefully will get to check it out this Saturday. Any of you guys have one?

Picked one up a couple of weeks ago. I have a thread already on here. I too gave seen some really good reviews and articles about the American as of late.

It's a fine shooting rifle. Want to dial in the scope this weekend weather permitting.

Did you get the compact or F.S version? Ive been eyeballing these for a while and thought about getting the compact for me and my son to share.

I went with the FS. I will be the primary shooter and both of my nephews are big enough to handle it.

I bought the ruger american in 22 mag. and waiting for it to be delivered. Planning to install a can on it and wondering if anyone here can let me know where I might be able to get the barrel threaded in the metairie area.
