Can anyone reccomend a gunsmith in the Baton Rouge area that will work on the action of S&W revolver. I have a model 67 that the hammer is not holding in single action. Thanks
I ordered a new hammer for a k frame to replace one I bobbed. It came in, I installed it, and it didn't hold to the rear on single action. I removed it, and gave it a closer inspection. The single action sear had been filed a bit and made unreliable.
You can order a used one on Ebay for about 40 bucks.
I haven't been to a gun show in a while but there was a guy that was usually to the right against the wall as you walked in . Went by "D" and he was really good. Would do repairs on site right there.
Just remembered his table was named..... Triggers by "D".
