I have 1100 acres in Sharkey county on the east side of 61 Hwy near Cary Ms. I've had this property for 9 years and the surrounding land is also managed for mature animals. The land is flat ground and has been in the WRP program for the past 10 years. There are plenty of deer and hogs on the property. I do not have a camphouse but there is cheap lodging ($45 per night) about 5 miles from the property in Rolling Fork, MS. and camper hook ups within 2 miles. We will have no more than 5 members. The property is best suited to gun hunting as there are not many trees(except on the ditches) for hanging stands. Ground blinds and tripods are the best choices. We currently have 17 tripods on the property and a few shooting houses.
Each member is required to put up a minimum of 2 stands the first year.
Most stands are on roads through the property with 360 degree views. Shots can range from 25 yards to 1/2 mile. You will see alot of deer on this property. The best day I had was an afternoon hunt that I saw over 100 deer. I know this sounds far fetched but the other members can attest to the numbers. This area is considered prime and the lease cost is accordingly set by the land owner. I have the lease for as long as I want it. The price per membership which includes imediate family is $2500 per year.
