Shellac Flakes around BR?

I need a 1/2 pound of garnet shellac flakes for a nagant stock anyone know who stocks it locally?

try hobby lobby or other crafts stores. may could order through a hardware or paint store.

The best I have ever found and used come from Homestead finishing. Tools For Working Wood also have some but I have never used his. Joel with TFWW always has good stuff and does alot of research before offering anything for sale, so I would not hesitate ordering from him.

Thanks, I will probably go through Shellac.net for flakes dewaxed. Many sites don't seem to stock the dark ambers I need for older Mosins.

Ok I'm stupid I guess. What do you do with the flakes? I assume dissolve them in denatured alcohol and apply them to the firearm?

Yes, the dewaxed flakes make a harder finish most Nagants have a amber or Garnet color from shellac
