I sold a firearm to an individual here and was wondering the proper method of shipping. I have shipped firearms back to the manufacturer for repairs and I know it will have to go to an FFL but I do not know the proper procedure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get a copy of the FFL in hand before you ship. Box it up, I usually use UPS, You will have to go to a UPS shipping center not an outlet like mailboxes etc.
Insure it and I would avoid labeling it in any way that it is a firearm.

Shipping regs say handguns have to go overnite or second day air can't remember which. Long guns can go normal overland.
