my side saddle beat the **** out of my trigger finger and obviously a light is a necessity.

I just read the posting about the Awerbuck class and saw that Spanky wasn't happy with the sidesaddle. I haven't worked on my 870 yet. (I'd like to start shooting 3 gun matches...)
Has anybody else used anything different? Is everyone else having the same problem? Or is it just Spanky?
Is there more than one brand out there? I haven't really looked into parts for my shotgun...

I'm a lefty and using a pistol grip. If I were a righty or using the factory stock, it wouldn't have been an issue.

I'm going to be switching to the Mesa saddle so if you want to buy mine let me know. :D

    This.

I put the Mesa on my Mossy about two months ago. Best gun accessory I've bought yet. Great people to work with too.

i'm a lefty too, and i didn't have ANY problems due to my side saddle (and i ran both a pistol grip and regular stock). of course, i'm running a mossberg, so the mounting plates are different.

the only issue i had with mine was when i tried running brass down and NOT pushing them all the way up. like that, the brass cut the **** out of my finger.

Interesting. From the pics I can see it attaches by replacing the trigger housing pins. I assume it does something similar on the front end? I'm thinking the 4 round without the scope mount.

What size mag extensions are ya'll using? or are you?

On my Mossy it attaches by replacing the extractor screw with a button screw that the shell holder slides onto, and replacing the trigger group pin in the rear. One of my freinds has the Remmy 870, I wasn't paying complete attention when he was installing but, from what I do remember, I believe you are correct.

And just for an fyi, we both got the six shell without the scope mount.

I'll do you one better. $55 for a Surefire G2 LED and $15 for a Tacstar #4 mount. I believe that is the direction I am going... maybe on the AKs as well.

thats probably the route I'll go with my shotguns, cheap and dirty but it works. I need to get around to putting one on my duty less lethal gun, it doesnt have recoil so I'll probably save a bit and get a standard G2
