The first event of the day will be the Club Championship Across the Course match.
The second event of the day will be the Club Championship F-Class Match.
The third event of the day will be an LSA approved and CMP sanction As-Issued Garand State Championship.
We will serve pizza and soft drinks and there may be some nifty door prizes.
The weather looks to be very nice with a low of 65 and almost no chance of rain, a little warm in the afternoon, but much better than previous months.
Registration will begin at 7:30.
Targets need to be setup by 8:30.
Safety brief will begin at 8:40.
First shot will be at 9:00
The Across the course match is sanctioned by the NRA. Scores will be turned in to the NRA.
The course of fire is the National Match Course which consists of 50 shots for record and two sighters at each stage.
Slow Fire Standing 10 shots in 10 minutes 200 yards SR Target
Rapid fire Sitting 10 shots in 60 seconds 200 yards SR Target
Rapid Fire Prone 10 shots in 70 seconds 200 yards SR-42 Target
Slow Fire Prone 20 shots in 20 minutes 200 yards MR-52 target
Awards are as follows:
First Place Overall: A gold medal and the coveted SLHP knife
Second Place Overall: A Silver Medal
Third Place Overall: A Bronze Medal
Classification winners will receive the coveted SLHP knife also.
The Overall Winner will not also receive the classification award.
You must be an SLHP member to compete for prizes.
After the 50 shot-match we will hold the F-Class/prone match. This will start around noon, if you are shooting this match only, please arrive at 11:30. The match is shot at 300 yards. You can take up to 5 shots for sighters and there are 15 rounds for record. The record rounds must be fired in a 15-minute period. This match is shot prone and you can use a sling, bipod, or rest for support. Just about any rifle up to .35 caliber is legal, unfortunately the rules do not allow for muzzle brakes. Flash suppressors are fine as are suppressors. Entry fee is only a couple of dollars and you can find out how you and your rifle perform at 300 yards. NRA rules now allow suppressors in the tactical class.

We will hold the Garand-Springfield-Vintage-Rifle Match either simultaneously with the F-Class or immediately afterwards, depending on number of entries.
Stage 1 - 200 yard slow fire prone 10 shots for record, 10 minutes
Stage 2 - 200 yard rapid fire prone 1 ten-shot string, 80 seconds
Stage 3 - 200 yard slow fire standing 10 shots for record, 10 minutes
John C Garand Match Course A - Aggregate of stages 1-3
This will be a walk and paste match.

Eligibility: Open
Age Requirement: Shooters under 14 require prior approval of the match director. Shooters under 14 must be able to
safely complete the course of fire.
Entries: Range Capacity is 20 shooters. Pre-Registration is preferred. Pre-registration fees will be returned in the case of match cancellation. No-shows will forfeit entry fee.
Ammunition: It is required that adult shooters bring their own ammo to the match. SLHP has a limited amount of surplus 30-06 Ball Ammo available for Juniors at Garand Matches.
Entry Fee: $15 if shooter provides their own ammo.
Junior Shooter - $30 (includes 35 rounds of 30-06 Ball)
Rules: Current CMP Competition Rules and NRA rules will govern. Competitors are responsible for knowing the contents of the current CMP Rule Book. Competitors will score, walk, paste, and assist range personnel as required. No alibis will be allowed for rifle or ammo malfunctions.
You must be an LSA member to compete for the state championship.
Targets: SR at 200 yards
Squadding: All matches will be squadded on the day of the match.
Scoring: Competitors will score. Any competitor failing to perform scoring duties may be disqualified.
Rifles: AS-ISSUED Division - Garand, 1903, M1 Carbine or any WWII military rifle.
ACCURIZED Division - Garand, 1903, M1 Carbine or any WWII military rifle.
Awards: Championship is for As-Issued Garands Only. Top three places will receive a medal from the CMP.
Achievement Pins will be awarded for each division based on CMP rules.
Ammunition: Any Safe Ammo-No Tracers-No AP
Chamber Flags: An Empty Chamber Indicator (ECI) must be used. The rifle must be removed from the firing line with an ECI in place before the rifle is put into a case. ECIs are available for purchase for $1.00.
