These were two factory glocks? No crazy aftermarket mods, like super tactical ultra combat slide or crap like that? Or was it on something other than glocks? I'm not trying to convince you of anything, I'm just saying I've never heard of it. I've been around glocks a hot minute and never seen measurable metal wear on a slide stop notch. I have friends that work for Glock and have never spoken of it and they have literally seen thousands of heavy use duty guns in their time. I've seen peening on 40 and 357sig glocks, I've seen bad finishes from Glock, I've seen dicked up parts from Glock, but never seen that is all.

........and it was apparently a big enough issue to rate a 3+ minute video about it.

    Yes, factory Glock slides.

Did you watch the video? It was about pistol slides auto forwarding in general, as it applies to technique. Not the rare Glock slide notch wear. Some guns do it much easier, I've personally seen several M&Ps that did it like crazy right out the box. And I've heard CZ's are prone to it as well.

I did, although I must admit, it spurred an ADD attack and my attention began to fade. I'm speaking of glocks, that's all I carry in an auto. I must have missed the part where the instructor told the viewer how unnecessary it was to beat the crap out of your gun. Physics and force and science and stuff. "It's trying to save ur live, not ruining it. U don't have to beat it like ur wife" I heard a gunny yell that once back in the day. If your smashing hard enough to cause it to operate other than how it was designed, you may be doing it wrong, but I'm no instructor so what do I know.
