    Do you often see stuff like LOL, IDK, IMO etc ? Wondering "WTF" is that ? :squint:

    Are you a parent and when you pass by you kid you see this "@@@" ? Thats your child telling his people about you being near him.

    I tried talking with my little cousin on Facebook chat one time, he really grew up with the internet. I couldnt understand all the short code.

    You think the kids are bad? My mom is in her early 50s and just randomly makes stuff up assuming I'll know what she's talking about. Usually something important.

    "hey where u at itystthcasap"

    Which 7 hours later I learn means "Hello there, my son. I must query about your location, as I have taken your sister to the hospital and I need you to come here as soon as possible."

    Haha. My dad who once said he would never have one of those stupid cell phone things always makes up slang. It always ends up with me calling him and asking him what the hell he is talking about:doh:

    When dealing with someone using there is one and only one net slang term I will use (unless making fun of net slang), that is BRB. As I feel it is polite to tell someone your stepping away for a minute, and often you don't have time to spell it out.

    Sadly, I am in the age group of those which use such garbage. I do not understand at all my peers, or why they use this codex of symbols, numbers, and letters to communicate.
