For Sale a Winchester Model 70 Pre-64 made in 1962 (date per s/n) chambered in the desired and original 300 H&H. SOLD through gunbroker. Gun is in great shape with beautiful dark wood. The bolt s/n matches s/n of gun - all original. Some of the original guns in this caliber have been modified to the 300 Weatherby Magnum - This one has NOT. It is hard to find one of these classics in this clean condition - especially in the classic 300 H&H. It has a LOP of 12.75" which is shorter than its original of of 13.75". The shortening was professionally done, because no signs of cut or misfit exist. A pachmyer recoil pad was installed when shortened and looks like factory fit. Warne bases are included. The bore is shiney and excellent and has remained oiled. The rear sight is missing. The blueing is in great shape except for scrapes as seen in photos. The wood is also in great shape with a couple of minor dings from handling.
