Why semi-auto?

I've come across many answers on various venues to the question of "...why does any CIVILIAN NEED A SEMI-AUTO FIREARM WITH HI-CAP MAGAZINES?..."

Decided to share a few - if I can re-find them - and ask you to share your thoughts and finds.

Getting what other people determine you need is what caused mass starvation in the USSR, China……..

Getting what you want cause you worked for it? That’s what made America great.

And keeping those masses in a situation to cause starvation requires them not be armed.

My sister asked me that same question . I told her I don't " need " it . I " want " it . Just like she she didn't " need " that nice car out in the driveway . Nobody is demanding that she justify owning it .

Here's my simple answer when asked: For any and all legal uses.

For someone that feels the need to ask me that question, they don't deserve any further reasons.
