Really unique, collectible 1911 for sale here. This is a Springfield 1911 in .45 ACP. It has been fitted for a threaded compensator from the factory, labeled a "factory pin gun" on the original box. All work done presumably at Springfield custom shop making this a pretty rare find. Documentation either in the included paperwork or marked on the original box backs this up. It is a full size 1911. Attached compensator as mentioned. Custom factory satin Metaloy finish. If you aren't familiar with this finish, it's amazing. Variation of hard chrome. VERY hard and very durable as evidenced by this gun's pristine condition despite being over 30 years old. Some really nice custom touches include the scallops near rear sight and checkering on rear of slide and even the extractor. If you know anything about custom 1911 work you know these mods do not come cheap. Super smooth action and really well fitted. Originally had a rubberized mainspring housing and pachymar rubber wrap-around grip. I have replaced with a one-piece MSH with a magwell and custom Esmeralda checkered cocobolo wood grips, $250 worth of upgrades right there. For sake of collectors' value I will of course include the original MSH and grip, and throw in a factory MSH from springfield and checkered Springfield cocobolo grips as well, all pictured. I have tried to show as much detail as an Iphone will allow and most of the original documents and box. For what it's worth, the original owner paid almost $2000 to have this gun built in 1988. Can't fathom what that cost in today's dollars. Receipt attests to this. I have not personally fired this one. Cash sale preferred but open to trades. I favor handguns in general and rare/custom/unique 1911's specifically. Asking $1300 FTF sale in BR and as always PM/text with any questions. Thanks for looking.
