UPDATE

False Alarm. Turns out he was there to fix my air conditioner.

He came back later and this time actually mentioned being there to fix the air conditioner. I said "Oh, you should have said something about that before."

He fixed the AC, and was actually a pretty nice guy. I watched him the whole time he was there and he didn't steal anything.

So he wasn't a burglar, he was just an idiot who confused both of us by failing to mention he was the AC guy. I was expecting an AC guy, (just not sunday, and I would have expected the AC guy to mention that fact when he showed up).
