Cowboy action guys sometimes do quickdraw baloon shooting that way.

You've never heard of Bob Munden? Holder of all 18 quick draw records for single action pistol. He can put a paper cup on top of his draw hand and shoot it on the draw before it hits the ground.

my father in law introduced himself with "you carry a gun?" Yes sir, Glock 19. "okay, you can date her, but remember something. I can draw and shoot you before you'd even touch the handle of your gun - hurt my daughter and you'll get a demonstration." i thought he was so full of crap. Found out later that he used to do cowboy action shooting, and wasn't bragging in the slightest.

Those guys are flat out amazing, but then again if we trained as much as they do we'd do it too. Those pros probably shoot more rounds a day than many of us shoot a month.

I've seen Bob Munden draw and fire at one target. I've never seen anyone draw, fire, and take down an entire plate rack.
