gunbroker or try some forums. you'd probably save alot over local shops even with shipping and ffl fees

i've never purchased a gun online like that. I assume i buy the gun and then get it send to a shop that has a FFL, correct? and then pay the shop the charge. How much is this ussally?

LA Gun and Reloading supply on Siegen is about $16-17, cheapest in town that I know of and Larry is a good guy to do business with. I went through him to transfer my AR and he stayed late on a Saturday so I could pick it up.

check with FFL and make sure they will do the transfer, contact dealer, pay for gun, let them know what FFL you'll use, get their contact info. Give their contact info to the FFL who will send their license information to the dealer who will ship the gun. Wait. FFL will contact you when it comes in, go in and fill out the normal paperwork, pay transfer fee and leave with your new piece.

you pay the seller, you arrange for your FFL to send a copy to the seller. once the seller receives a copy, they ship the gun to the FFL. you pick up the gun from the ffl, fill out the paperwork, pay their fee and walk out with your new gun.

you will save alot of time if your FFL is willing to send and your seller is willing to receive fax copies of the ffl. the pawn shop in gonzales that i use does it it saves a few days definitely.

the phone # is 225-291-2942 I'm pretty sure they are open 8-5 or 6 tues-fri and about 8-2 on saturday. closed sunday and monday.

he sends his license by fax as well. I got lucky in that he had already done business with the seller I used, didnt even have to fax anything, just make a phone call.
