Texas CCW permit good in Louisiana?

Just like the title says. I have a co-worker with a Texas CCW and he was aking me if it is accepted in Louisiana as well. I want to ask the experts here before giving him an answer.

They also have information on what the laws are in the state you want to go to. Your permit may be honored in another state, but you have to follow the local laws.

My co-worker now lives here in Louisiana, but he was originally from Texas where he got his CCW permit.

His permit is good until August 15, 2011 if he is now a Louisiana resident.

YES tell him to read R.S. 40:1379.3(T)(1)

and he can get a copy of the laws that apply in our state that might be diferent from Texas on www.lsp.org

As long as he's a TX resident, his TX permit is good here, but if he has lived in Louisiana for 6 months or more, he needs a LA permit.
