Does anyone have or ever had a Keltec P32? Can you tell me what you like, dislike or anything about it?

It is the same weight and size; Dick Kelgreen did not patent any of his designs, Ruger copied it and made it work, right out of the box, the KTs usually don't work right when new, there is a forum just for them that tells you how to fix them

Just my opinion---I've owned several Kel Tecs over the years---only one I ever had any trouble with was a PF9 and it turned out to be ammo related. This being said D (Danny Abear) is also correct on all points as far as I know. I'd still like to find a nice 32 or .380 Kel Tec.

I owned one years ago. Never had an issue with it. The biggest concerns with a .32 ACP is rim-lock. But, I never had that happen. Got talked into selling it to a friend. Regretted it ever since. An inexpensive little gun. Worked every time. It was like my old truck…didn’t have to baby it and it still did what I needed it to do. Not being a safe queen didn’t have to worry about bumping it or scratching it. Just keep it clean and lubed.

Same here, my first CCW weapon. So easy to conceal and goes bang every time.I tried several types of self defense ammo and it ate everything. I sadly decided to get rid of it for the Kel-Tec P-11, I hated the trigger on it, but it always went bang so took time to get the trigger better. But the P-32 was a great CCW. Good luck in your search.

Yes Ruger copied the design, but not all KT's have issues. I use to be a moderator over @ KTOG, most of the pistols were very reliable, but as always early versions needed some updates.

I own the .380 P3AT and have never had any problems, always works. Also have the PF9, same deal, very reliable. I know someone who bought a P3AT, had problems, and KelTec straight up took it back and gave him a new one that ran great, so they are, or at least were then, quite ready to remedy complaints.

    .... I use to be a moderator over @ KTOG, ....

I thought I knew you from some where besides this forum! I think my name on KTOG was Nu_Agin_Shooter.

As for the P32- I still have my 1st generation P32 and love it. Mine does not have the rim lock problem that some have reported, but I think there is a simple diy fix for that issue should you find one that does.

Yes your screen name sounds familiar. I was mod over the SU-16 group.

I own one. After it went back to keltec so they could fix their poor quality control it’s run fine no problems. I only use it when I need a real small CCW.

I have owned 2 P11's, a PF9, a Sub 2000 (gen 1) and a P32. All were GREAT, they do have some QC issues, but mine were all fine. Get one, if it has issues, contact keltec.

I bought my P32 July 1, 2001. I shot it a lot in 2001-2003. From 2008 all the way to 2016 I left it locked & loaded and took it to shoot & it fired fine. Only big issue I ever had was early on, had a 10 round aftermarket mag that jammed constantly so I just use the OEM mags. Also, Mine won't cycle hollow points but I've read in 32 acp, it's better to use fmj anyways so it wasn't an issue for me. Around 2008, I bought a Beretta Tomcat, also in 32 acp & I have to say, I'd rather the Kel Tec. I liked the Kel Tec trigger better.

Likes: I find it pretty accurate for what it is. It's extremely small & light. Despite Kel Tec's not so great reputation and despite mine being beat to Hell, it shoots every time given you load it with fmj's & use the OEM mags.

Dislikes: 32 acp isn't the best round, I would have bought the P3AT but it wasn't out yet, so I got the P32 as an impulse buy. 32 acp is also harder to find and ridiculously expensive (to me anyways).

I love my P32. It travels everywhere I go. I have in my pocket righ

I was showing it to my son last night and we were comparing it to the weight of the 2 AA flashlight I carry for work. The P32 weighs less loaded than the flashlight.

It is crazy that little pistol weighs so little. I constantly forget I have it in my pocket.
