My Volunteer Fire Department is about 1/3 through the process of building a new station to replace the existing one. The apparatus side (3, double depth bays) will be much larger, and the department has a memorandum of understanding with the local village .gov that the building will be available for limited community use.

We are thinking about installing a projector to offer "movie nights" to the local residents, (combined of course with a Fire Prevention & Education message). Maybe a projector on a hang-from-the-ceiling mount. The section of the wall that will be used as a screen is about 17' wide between access doors, about the same in height.

None of us are tech wizards, so I'm fishing for advice on how to go about determining which projector & speaker system to get for halfway decent quality, that will not be struggling with the lense-to-wall distance and still have enough lumens to enjoy the show.

Hare's a photo from a few weeks ago, looking toward the intended wall to be used.
