Just thinking what it would have been like to have this guy captured alive...

They could have mounted a tazer or gas grenade or huge flashbang on the robot just as easily and tried to take him alive. Not sure that the wanted to though...

The guy claimed to have explosives, just because he is physically neutralized does not mean the officers weren't in danger.

After repeated threats to blow people up, shoot more LE, and a promise to die fighting LE, the perp gave up his right to due process.

No quotes grabbed here, but a couple responses:

    • Too bad there is not a lethal robot system that doesn't have to blow up the robot. You know, something like an instant hardening epoxy spray that suffocates and sticks him to the wall.

    • I never heard of anyone using C4 to heat C-Rations in Vietnam. We had Sterno and I had a little Sterno stove that folded up to about 4x4x1/2".

    • The chief's cost concern about a $150k robot. Obama spent that much in the first five minutes flying Air Force One and his handmaidens, lackeys, and media friends to Dallas to insult our intelligence and preach irrelevant gun control again.

    • Robot concern. I wonder if the feds will use robots to confiscate our guns. "Please place all the guns on this list in the bin or have your house detonated in five minutes."
I am glad the guy was killed. At least we won't have his face in the news every few months like the Colorado theater shooter or the Boston Bomber.
