I believe so. Since 2008 when Obama was elected they have been doing everything they can to turn the military from conservative constitutional leanings to socialist leftist leanings. Not trying to diss the military but it has been my own personal observation over the past deacade.

I have never been in the military. My observation have been how many top military leaders turned against Trump when he was in office. The allowance of gay and transgender people in the military. Russel Honore openly calling for AR-15s to be banned. Colin Powell turning out to be liberal leaning. Our current Governor is vey leftist and a military person. Then there are people I know who were/are in the military that are very leftist. This is just a few of the things that make me believe the way I do.

If the Second Amendment were repealed and people rose up a military full of left leaning people would be more inclined to attack those who rose up. Hence attacking US citizens.

I haven’t asked them but the military I know would refuse the orders or resign. They would be confiscating/attacking family & like minded citizens. If they where ever Stupid enough to try this the grunts would turn on them.

I hate to break it to you but most of the high brass in the military are leftist leaning. They would attack US citizens in the blink of an eye if the orders were given. Need look no further than what William Tecumseh Sherman did to the South in the War Between the States.

Some of the high brass may be left leaning but the vast majority of the ranks are not. 3/4 or more would not attack Americans and would be next to us fighting tyrannical forces that were left.

Someone did a survey of the members of the military and asked this very question a few years ago and the results were overwhelmingly (95%) NO. The rank and file said they would disobey orders to attack the citizens of the United States.

Of course, that was 5 or 6 years ago, never know how things change though.

Article VI is really simply clear about this. The Bill of Rights is not optional fare for our leadership. Do not comply. Per Article VI they must remain in "good standing" with the US Constitution if they refuse they have violated their oaths and can be defunded, disbarred, and discharged from elected office. This of course should be attempted officially before a militia is activated to do what the government themselves refuse to do. The gloves must come off at some point, that is the purpose of the Second Amendment.

The Convention of States should focus on clarifying the 2nd amendment, not abolishing it. The militia clause causes the most confusion among the anti-gun activists. It should say "the Right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed for any reason and the government shall make no law that infringes upon the citizens' Right to bear arms", or something to that effect.
So far, as I understand, the COS is focused on downsizing the federal government and putting power back in the hands of the state and the people. Our government was never meant to be this large or have this much control over the lives of American citizens citizens.
