Yes, lake ponchartrain has sharks. Got 2 of them on a line about 2 weeks ago.

Yep, That's a Bull Shark. Can get about 8 ft long and are pretty aggressive. I don't swim out in the lake since I saw a large one while out on my sailboat a few years ago. They have been as far up the Mississippi river as Illinois.
I realized that when you go in the water, you are re-entering the food chain and you ain't at the top no more!

At that point, I think I would have just **** myself..

We take a spear gun with us if we get a big shark or big gar. Me and my buddy are doing this in a kayak.
