I'm looking to make my truck a bit more secure and cover the bed with a cap. I've looked around and figured I'd go with Leer. I never was a big fan of caps, but I have a work truck to haul stuff if need be, or a utility trailer to pull as well and the prospect of being able to lock up cargo is looking better and better. So I'm just looking for experiences with them and if you've found them to be somewhat watertight, tips to look out for, and just how you liked it overall.

    Leer makes good stuff

Mine occasionally leaked a little at the corner of the tailgate, but that was fixed with a new seal.

I did an extensive amount of shopping on this last year and went with ARE's CX series. Found the Yakima roof rails to be more load bearing than the options I was given via LEER or other brands. I run a THULE basket on top w/ additional rails f/ my canoe + a buttload of gear.

I had side door panels added f/ more access to gear on the inside. Did not opt f/ windows on these.....makes for an easier break-in or f/ someone to see what's inside, so I went with a solid fiberglass doors w/ (2) T-handle knobs/locks.

No issues w/ leaks so far.

Best price + service I could find was at:
