    should be stamped on the barrel, unless you specifically ordered otherwise, it's probably 1/9 twist.

    It is stamped on most. Otherwise, take a wood dowel that is a tight fit - not so tight you won't be able to get it out - and tap it down the bbl. when you back it out, you can measure the twist.

    Ouch! That sounds a bit harsh. Just put a tight fitting ptch on a cleaning rod. Mark the rod so you can tell when the rod makes 1 turn. You will also need to mark the rod so you can measure the distance you push it in to make that one turn.

    The twist is stamped on our match barrels.

    I would be more concerned with the damage that the "repair" will cause when you break that dowel off in a .224 diameter barrel.
