Give them an inch and they will take a mile. NO! to anything from the UN. I wish we would get out and use the building for more productive means.

    Where corn still grows
As the secretary general made clear, the UN has not quit pushing for an ATT, and it is just as unlikely to stop prodding States into enacting the civilian gun controls promoted by the Programme of Action--which has now been extended through 2018.

and I'm going to assume he means Nation States, so that Federal Law would necessarily supersede State Law. Maybe Doomsday Preppers has a good point.

As much as I have distaste for the UN, its probably to the USA's advantage to stay a member. It does wield a good bit of power and influence with other countries.

Thinking about it a little more, maybe we need to develop a POA group in the UN that promotes gun rights? Fight fire, with fire?

Think of the $$ that we give the UN. If we put 1/2 of that $$ into our military and the other 1/2 to paying down our debt think how much more influence we would wield with other countries.
